Psychotherapy is a form of talking therapy that aims to look in depth at different concerns, difficulties or challenges in life. Through building a therapeutic relationship over a period of time, a space is created in which you can safely and confidentially explore deep-seated and structural issues.
My approach to psychotherapy is integrative: I integrate existential phenomenology, (which focuses on the lived experience, and themes such as choice and responsibility) with Lacanian psychoanalysis (which addresses more structural aspects such as familial relationships, desire and unconscious dynamics).
I have experience working with a broad range of concerns including (and not limited to):
- relationship challenges;
- work and career stress;
- confidence and self esteem; and
- sex and sexuality.
My practice is based in Pecry Street, Fitzrovia, London, a few minutes walk from Tottenham Court Road station, and I conduct sessions in person or via zoom.
Please email me at therapy@phoebusebbini.com if you are interested in starting therapy.
About
I carried out my psychotherapy training at Regent’s University and obtained my Doctorate in Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. I am a fully accredited member of the UKCP. I provide individual psychotherapy and supervision for psychotherapists on a 1-1 and group basis. I am also a lecturer and trainer of psychotherapists at Regent’s University London and The Existential Academy.
Prior to being a psychotherapist, I worked as a solicitor in the City for several years, and before that as a financial trader. I believe that all my past experiences have helped me become more attuned to various challenges and difficulties in life, and have helped me understand clients from various backgrounds.
